New Era Packaging Ltd was established in 1977 and is Ireland’s leading manufacturer of Self-Adhesive Label products. In 1991, following sustained growth in business New Era, built a modern custom designed label manufacturing plant in Drogheda, Ireland.  Currently there are over 100 people employed by New Era Packaging Ltd. servicing customers in the Home and Export markets. New Era Packaging Ltd was the first label Converter accredited with the ISO9001 Quality Standard in 1987 and in 2008 was recognised for being the first company to be accredited to this Standard for 21 years. Recently New Era was accredited to the BRC/IoP Food Packaging Standard. All employees receive comprehensive training in all aspects of both these standards as well as good manufacturing practices in the label industry.

Our manufacturing facility operates on a three way shift system. In all there are 18 printing presses upon which many different types of labels are converted from the simple one colour black label to the 12 colour multipage booklet/coupon labels that New Era have developed with silk screen and hot foil also available in the product ranges. The printing presses are also backed up by a modern Pre-Press department to prepare customer supplied artwork for printing negatives and printing plates for whichever print process we are using. This gives New Era the advantage of being able to instantly change or amend Customers label designs without affecting the customer's delivery
schedules.

New Era operates both UV Letterpress and UV Flexographic presses upon which we plan our customer’s requirements with special regard for print quality, efficiencies & delivery times. These printing presses are supported by rewind/ finishing machines which can provide where necessary, additional premium services such as sequential numbering and full visioning of labels.  The success of New Era in the Label Industry is due to its policy of continuous Investment in the latest available printing technology to enable the development of innovative products for the Self Adhesive Label market.

Examples of this Innovation historically are as follows:

• Installation of Europe’s first In-Line Multi-page Label press in 1987.
• Production of first successful Peel-N-Reseal label over 20 years ago.
• Installation of Ireland’s only integrated UV Flexo with bespoke patterned In-line Silicone and Adhesive-coating Press in 2006.
• Ireland’s only producer of Lineless Self-Adhesive label products.
• Installation of Ireland’s only Digital Braille Printing Press in 2008.
• Production of first "Secure Print" anti-counterfeit label in 2009.

New Era's products are sold to our customers who operate across all the major industrial sectors.  Many of these customers have had loyal relationships with New Era Packaging for over 25 years and these customers operate in both the Home and Export Markets.  New Era Exports to customers in most of the EU countries in addition to Asia and the Americas.
